So excited to have a Fall version of the "Yoga on the Green". I am also honored to be collaborating with Team Red White, and Blue (RWB) and lululemon athletica to help support our local veteran's. This will be an awesome way to welcome in Autumn and do something good for your community, and your body, mind, and soul.
This is always such a fun event! We will be celebrating International Yoga Day and the Summer Solstice. We will be having this on the UAB Green right beside the UAB Rec Center. There is parking across the street from the Rec or on the streets nearby. We will be having rain or shine. We will move into Center Court of the Rec center should Mother Nature show out. Otherwise, bring your mat, and all your friends. This is going to be epic!
What is the endocrine system and how does yoga make it better?
Dr. Galin, E-RYT 200 and an Associate Professor at UAB, has developed this workshop based on his experience and knowledge in both fields combined with the latest research in the endocrinology of yoga.
This will be a workshop immediately followed by a class with Shawn. The entire afternoon will run from 3-6pm.
Reserve your spot today via the Kiva App in the menu under buy services or via the Kiva website! http://www.kivahotyoga.com/
I am so excited to be leading this new workshop examining the beneficial effects of Yoga on the brain. We will discuss anatomy, physiology and function with attention on neurotransmitters and neuroplasticity. Rethink your practice and rewire your brain!
Join me in celebrating International Yoga Day on Wednesday, June 21st on the UAB Green. In addition to the yoga class, there will be many vendors giving cool stuff away. Outdoor yoga at its finest! Parking is available in the paid secure lot directly across the street or along many of the streets around UAB. There will be some mats availble for use but get there early as they can go fast!

This is my new workshop looking at the global research being done looking at the beneficial effects of Yoga on disease. This is a great overview on the medical implication of including a yoga practice as supplemental therapy in disease treatment.
I hope you can join me for either the lecture or the outdoor practice. There is accommodations for rain or cold. So come to the practice rain or shine!
